Falter. Now I am unsually not one to rail on President Bush, but it's way to easy with this video. He knows as well as anyone else(especially with an MBA) that wartime spending only provides for short term(if any) gain to a nation's economy. How can he say that building equiptment that's sole purpose is to destroy or be destroyed can be helpful to our economy. He says it is providing jobs, sure, but the government could hire people to shovel dollar bills into a fire, all the while providing people with jobs. As we all know the war has to be paid for and the only source of payment for this debt is a hit to consumer spending in the name of taxation.

It's been a while.
As you can see it's been a while since I contributed to this blog. My last post was about Senator Dodd who is now out of the race. A lot have transpired since my last post. Hillary and Obama are the Democratic frontrunners, with Edwards not far behind. For the republics, there is no clear leader, but McCain seems to be leading the pack.
I am still holding out hope for Ron Paul. If the race is still undecided after Super Tuesday, things could get interesting.
I am also planning to put my name on the ballot to run for the position of State Delegate next week. I am also planning to do some canvasing to educate people about Ron Paul and also promote myself for the delegate election. I am very nervous about doing all this, but I think it should be a lot of fun.
Thats about all for now, I will leave you with this video of what appears to be Mitt Romney getting fed information about a questio0n he was asked in last night's debate.
It turns out it was just Brian Williams telling Tim Russert to add more information to the question, but it was quite humerous.

Ron Paul Supporter: Open Letter to the GOP
As a long time Republican one of my concerns is of course the welfare of the party. I support a large majority of the issues of the platform of the party even though it seems at times that Republicans in elected positions do not. Consequently, I have chose to support Ron Paul this election season. This is not the reason I write this letter, though my support for Dr. Paul has led me to some conclusions about the party and its future.
The party should embrace the new influx of supporters that have crossed over to support Dr. Paul. This is a prime opportunity to persuade Libertarians that the Republican party is the party of limited government and free trade. This is a golden opportunity to embrace the Democrats that have crossed over, primarily on foreign policy issues, to support Dr. Paul and show them how the Democratic party has gone astray with a new idea every day on how to spend Americans' hard-earned money for “the public good”. This is a perfect moment to show America that the Republican party supports minorities, the poor, and those in population who typically vote Democratic, not through government handouts and specials rights, but through individualist ideals, the power of a free and dynamic economy, and the principles of limited government intrusion.
While I do not have a lot of specific ideas on how to reach out to these new(hopefully not temporary) Republicans, I do believe that the party should take a stance to welcome them warmly instead of with ridicule and disdain as has been seen by many Republican pundits and even one of the Republican candidates, Rudy Giuliani.

Message from Ron Paul, September 22, 2007
September 22, 2007
The end is nigh. Of the third quarter of 2007, that is! And I need your help to make sure that our campaign gets a big boost. At the end of the second quarter, on August 1, we had more money than McCain, and we got a million dollars worth of free publicity.
This time, we can get 10 million dollars worth, IF we have good results to announce on October 1, and therefore the resources to build for the future.
After all, our ideas have never been needed more. The Federal Reserve is killing our dollar, the war is killing our soldiers, police-state methods are killing our civil liberties, and the income tax and bureaucratic meddling are killing our economy.
But there is hope for America in the ideas of this Revolution. What progress we are making, all across this country, among all groups. The mainstream media may ignore us, but we are winning strawpolls, drawing huge crowds, getting local media, moving up in the regular polls (a lagging indicator, of course), organizing, dominating the internet, and preparing the way for the early caucuses and primaries.
As our opponents begin to falter, and the undecideds grow in strength, this is our time. When people learn about our ideas and our work for them, they join the Revolution. So my job is to make sure they learn!
But I can't do this job alone. I need you. Please, reach out your hand and clasp mine. Our country is at stake, our children's future and ours is in the balance. Make the most generous contribution https://www.ronpaul2008.com
A 13-year-old said to me the other day, "Dr. Paul, you are the hope of my future." No, I told her, but this Revolution is. Will she grow up in a poorer, more socialist, more militarist, more oppressive country? Or the free country you and I love?
Let's work together with all our strength for the Constitution, for America, for all our people, for freedom, prosperity, and peace. Together, you and I can make a Revolution. Let's do it!
Sincerely,
Ron
